This process also entails applying our official Archive stamp of authoritative verification.

Line5

Archive Access

For professionals and students, who wish to have physical access to design and photographic materials for research, or for those interested in acquisitions, a private viewing of the Archive's contents may be arranged by appointment. Owing to our almost non-existent resources, general public viewing is not available and needs to remain restricted to the Archive's online display.

Requests for research to be carried out within the Archive should be provided in writing and be as detailed as possible, giving the intended purpose of the research.

What we would appreciate...

Line18

Acquisitions

If you had any designs by Barry Kay you wish to offer for sale, the Barry Kay Archive will seriously consider acquiring them - means permitting.

We are also interested in acquiring antiquarian copies of Barry Kay's photographic volumes of As A Woman, The Other Women and Die anderen Frauen. Copies are required to be in a presentable condition and the asking price should allow for a fair resale margin.

Line19

Donations

We would welcome donations in kind as well as of funds to sponsor our Archival activities.

We are in desperate need of archival and digitizing equipment; of a large scale scanner (format A-1; 594 x 841 mm); film scanners for 24 x 36 mm slides, for 6 x 6 cm and 6 x 9 cm roll-film (120 film) transparencies, and for 9 x 12 cm sheet film transparencies. Without these machines we are unable to publish a host of additional designs on this website.

Donations of Barry Kay's designs would also be much appreciated.
